CTECH Becomes More Involved In the Energy Sector
December 13, 2011There are many ways for a Managed Services Provider (MSP) to become more involved in the industries they support. Many of these ways include increased social media interactions, lunch and learns, and community events.
CTECH has taken the approach that it would only make sense to become more active in networking in the energy sector. Two ways to do this is through TheOilCommunity and The Calgary Energy Services Meetup Group.
TheOilCommunity
TheOilCommunity is a common meeting ground for professionals, students and academics to network with each other in the Oil & Gas sector. Using the latest web-based technology, the Community brings people together with common interests and supplies the avenue where they can share multimedia.
CTECH can share their knowledge and expertise with like-minded individuals in a variety of different ways including forums, training and conference events, online email through TheOilCommunity and our organization can gain a wealth of information through a wide variety of resources.
The Calgary Energy Services Meetup Group
The Energy Services Meetup Group is similar to TheOilCommunity in a number of ways. The Meetup Group was formed so that professionals in Calgary in the Energy Services sector and those that service the industry could network with each other. Why? This group is focused on giving like-minded professionals a way to meet and network while growing the industry as a whole.
During the meetings, I get to meet and greet new people in the energy services including oil and gas, electricity/utilities and alternative energy. It is a fun atmosphere where we get to exchange business cards, share ideas and enjoy a time to relax with friends, both new and old.
CTECH serves the entire Canadian energy market offering fixed-fee, predictable cost, worry-free, hassle-free and completely guaranteed IT support, computer support, business IT services and oil and gas software consulting. One of our strategic plans for the future is to continue to be more involved in groups like the two above that are in the energy sector. It’s a good way to keep abreast of happenings in the industry while increasing our visibility.
